Kianda Transition Class Report

The Building Work When our centre in Kianda village of Kibera slum (Nairobi, Kenya) closed for Christmas holidays, building work for our new Transition classroom and microfinance office began. We had bought the land a couple of months prior to the building work starting and were waiting for the compound to be clear of chil-dren before we began the work. Wednesday 14th August. 2013 Despite the weather looking decidedly ropey, just over 50 intrepid rounders players took to Inverleith Park in Edinburgh for the first ever HFT Rounders Tournament. With most not having played since their school days there was much arguing over the rules and a couple of umpires got some stick over their decisions.
