Burns Night

Fair fa’ your honest, sonsie face, Great chieftain o the puddin’-race!

In a nod to our Scottish heritage, we’ve been celebrating Burns Night on 25 January for several years now, raising money for the Trust as we go.

It’s a simple idea that, we hope, works both ways. To support the Trust all you have to do is arrange a Burns Night supper, invite your friends and ask each of them for a donation to the Trust at the end of the evening.

This has proven an excellent source of donations over the past few years, and Burns nights have been celebrated right across the British Isles.

To help the evening progress smoothly, we have developed a downloadable Burns Night pack. It includes a traditional order of service for the evening, a suggested menu and tips on where to find and how to prepare your haggis, neeps and tatties. You can also clink on the HFT Burns Supper Spotify playlist so that your evening can be accompanied by some traditional Scottish tunes.

When the nights are long and cold, what better time to put on your tartan, indulge in a nip of whiskey, a spot of Scottish food and raise a little sum for Hazel’s Footprints as you go?
