Ben Newman certainly takes the title of most avid cyclist amongst the Trustees of Hazel’s Footprints and, indeed, amongst the wider Hazel’s Footprints community. He has, once again, completed a grueling cycling tour in aid of our charity. For this adventure, Ben was joined by a number of other cyclists from across the world as part of a week-long cycle in the French Alps. Their route included many of the classic climbs from the Tour De France including Col du Telegraphe, Col du Galibier and Col du Chaussy.
During the week, Ben covered a distance of c750km and ascents of roughly 15,000 meters. He said his legs were rather wobbly on return to the flats of Norfolk!
Huge congratulations to Ben Newman! And our heartfelt thanks, also, for raising a fantastic sum for Hazel’s Footprints Trust. It’s not too late to sponsor Ben, just head to his JustGiving page.
