We are thrilled to see photos of the completed classroom at Tubarere School, Rwanda. Aid for Education developed this project following a grant from Hazel’s Footprints Trust just six months ago! The progress since the last update is astonishing. Congratulations to all, and we are delighted that the children can start to benefit.
Aid for Education, a Glasgow-based charity, has been working in the Muhazi Sector in the Easter Province of Rwanda since 2010. In 2017, the charity completed new buildings for Tubarere Nursery and Primary School in the Rwamagana community, working alongside their partner charity Children Might Foundation (CMF), a Rwandan NGO. The school now has 300 students from nursery to primary 6. Aid for Education approached us to support their work by funding a much-needed additional classroom for the school. The Trust is also providing the funds needed for furniture. For a project completed in just 6 months, we’re sure you’ll agree that the Aid for Education team and Tubarere School have done an incredible job.
The children and their teachers have written a message for Hazel’s Footprints Trust which reads:
“Dear Hazel’s Footprints Trust,
From Tubarere Nursery and Primary school we thank you very much to build us this classroom.
The classroom will help many children to have the opportunity to study.
Thank you
God bless you all”
